Posted by I have been doing a detailed reading for my local Tolkien group. We have done six chapters so far. I found I was learning new things, even though I have been reading the book for decades and watched or listened to all the major dramatisations.
So I post a set of pages here, for anyone interested. Not worth reading unless you have read the book, or at least the relevant chapters.
